An unsolicited glimpse of my teaching philosophy: The premises by which I justify concept mapping are theoretical and, ostensibly, neurological: namely, that a) memory processes are reconstructive, b) meaning-making is, partly, associative, and c) originality is a learnable, practiceable skill.
